Comparably ranks Ytel CEO in SME companies categories.
Ytel, a leading provider of communications software for businesses through a programmable API and contact center software, announced that CEO and founder Nick Newsom received the 2018 Comparably Award for Best CEOs for Diversity and Best Company Leadership.
According to Comparably, a compensation, culture and career monitoring website, Ytel was ranked for Best Leadership and CEOs for Diversity in the small to medium size business category. “When you have leaders that are focused on issues (of) inclusion and diversity, and especially when they have a diverse background themselves, I think … employees feel rewarded and empowered,” said Jason Nazar, CEO of Comparably, in an interview with USA TODAY.
Ytel ranks in the top five percent of 135 local companies in the Los Angeles area and in the top 15 percent of more than 400 similar sized companies in the United States. Ytel employees rated their diversity score an impressive A. The diversity score provides insight into how diverse employees feel and rate their work experience at Ytel across various cultural dimensions.
Based on 97 ratings, Ytel employees gave their leadership team an A+, which puts them in the top five percent of similar sized companies (51-200 employees) in the United States. “I sum up my leadership philosophy as: be a good human,” said Nick Newsom, CEO of Ytel. “Leading by example is one of the DNA pieces in our culture.” The leadership score of 92/100 combines employee feedback on their CEO (92/100), manager (90/100), and executive team (94/100).
