Lawyaw Adds Custom Template Bundles to Accelerate Document Automation

New feature speeds document automation in the cloud and protects against inadvertent errors.

Last week, Lawyaw, the cloud-based document automation and forms generation company, announced the addition of custom template bundles, allowing users to select any of Lawyaw’s over 5,000 California Judicial Council and County court forms or any of the 200+ Federal Immigration forms, complete standardized sections, and save them as a group for repeated use. Once saved, users simply call up the template bundle and Lawyaw automatically reviews the form fields, identifies data already available from its internal system or integrated practice management application, and presents the user with the fields required to complete all documents in the set.

With the new template bundle feature, any law firm can quickly create a series of customized templates that not only automates document automation, it groups together the forms necessary for a particular filing in one set, eliminating the need to re-enter client data, reducing errors, and preventing overlooked forms. For example, a family law practice may wish to bundle the following set of California dissolution forms:

  • FL-100 – Petition Marriage/Domestic Partnership
  • FL-110 – Summons
  • FL-115 – Proof of Service
  • FL-117 – Acknowledgement of receipt

“Our users told us they wanted the ability to complete groups of documents in a single pass,” said Tucker Cottingham, Esq., CEO and Co-Founder of Lawyaw. “Using our AI-engine we were able to bring this feature to market quickly helping our attorneys become more efficient, increase profit margins, and improve their clients’ satisfaction.”

About Lawyaw

Lawyaw builds “intelligent templates for law firms”. Developed by a former law firm partner and an ex-Google engineer, it is the only cloud-based document automation system for attorneys. Lawyaw uses natural language processing to identify form fields, allowing them to be re-used later as templates. Since its launch in 2017, more than 1,500 legal professionals have signed up for an account, and over 40,000 forms have been generated so far.
